Everyone should be familiar with Crest Hardware’s ever-witty annual art show. Local artists contribute works that incorporate hardware, then install them within the store in sly and outrageous manners. This year’s show extends beyond Crest’s walls, with a day of events and (possible) permanent installations down the street at Macri Park on Union and Metropolitan. There is an open call for artist submissions and the deadline is on May 18, so if you’ve got a creative idea to turn your hammer into an artistic tool, make sure you apply before it’s too late. The opening and park party are scheduled for June 13. Get all the details here.
