Beginning this weekend, Williamsburg Walks comes back for its 6th year. They’ll be shutting down Bedford Avenue to traffic on June 8th, 15th, and 22nd, and reclaiming the street for fun pop-up parks and programming.
VOLUNTEER AT THE WALKS!
Organizers hope to make this year better and bolder than ever, but that means they need your support, your volunteer power, your ideas, and your amazing energy! Volunteers get first dibs on sod to take home at the end of the night!
One of the most popular things about Williamsburg Walks is the pop up sod parks and the random cafe seating. It takes a lot of volunteer power to get that sod laid, chairs and tables set out, and the whole scene readied for play. It also takes a nice crew to get the street cleaned up and ready for car traffic.
Contact Ryan at ryan@nag-brooklyn.org to learn how you can lend a helping hand. There are set-up shifts starting at noon, daytime shifts to help with logistics, and clean-up shifts that begin at 7pm. A great way to help this fun event be sustainable is to volunteer for a few hours… plus you get that cool T-shirt and first dibs on sod!
