On Friday, July 12, from 8-11pm, one of the most special joints in Greenpoint/Williamsburg/East Williamsburg (erm, Greenburg?), One-Stop Beer Shop, will be hosting a gluten-free beer, burger and cider night.
Is this just a special event, or will you have gluten-free beer on offer all of the time?
Yes, we will maintain a permanent draft line offering gluten-free options.
Will the burgers have buns?
The burgers will have buns. We always offer gluten-free bread for all our sandwiches. Udi’s Gluten-Free Bread will be sponsoring the bread that evening.
I used to think that Budweiser was made from rice. Does this have any basis in reality?
As far as I know rice is used in the process when they brew Budweiser. This does not mean it’s gluten-free.
You’re meticulous. I see that you have promised that all beer lines with gluten-free beer are properly cleaned.
Each gluten-free beer is brewed differently. Each brewer has to be sure that their brewing conditions are free of gluten so there is no cross contamination with brews containing gluten and those that don’t. This is why Draft Choice Corp. makes sure our gluten-free beer draft lines are cleaned when the kegs are tapped, so there’s no contamination.
