This Saturday is ‘Trees Don’t Like Trash’ Tree Service Day. Join The Brooklyn Good Guys as they team up with Bushwick Eco Action Network (BEAN) in a day of service to the trees of Bushwick.

“We will remove trash from tree beds, aerate the soil, and add mulch to sustain the life of our lovely Brooklyn trees … with the DJ styles of P.U.D.G.E.”

Save your appetite, there will be delicious vegan friendly, Ethiopian food available for advance purchase from Bunna Cafe.

“Get 4 of our most popular dishes: Misir Wot (Spicy lentils), Yeter Kik Alicha (Yellow split peas), Gomen (Steamed kale and carrots), and Keysir (Sauteed beets, carrots, and potatoes), served on top of Injera, Ethiopian sourdough flatbread. Healthy, hearty, vegan-friendly, meant to be eaten outdoors. See you on the 5th! Everything is eshi.” Reserve your (vegan) Ethiopian lunch from Bunna Cafe for a sweet ten bucks, here.

October 5, 2013, from 11-5pm
Maria Hernandez Park (Irving Ave and Starr St.)
Tree care 11-2pm and musical picnic 2-5pm.
