bob-dylan-in-the-80s-posterOn Monday March 24th, Music Hall of Williamsburg and ATO Records will celebrate the release of Bob Dylan In The 80s: Volume One, featuring an all-star lineup paying tribute to Dylan’s forgotten decade.

Each artist will play the song he or she recorded, as well as one other Dylan song from any era. Langhorne Slim, John & Ian of Deer Tick, Elvis Perkins, Spirit Family Reunion, Dawn Landes, Yellowbirds, Hannah Cohen, members of Tea Leaf Green, and special guests will be playing their selections from the record, along with other Dylan cuts.

Save Goodbye Blue Monday

After almost ten years of offering open mics, burlesque shows, poetry readings, live music, coffee, and $4 tall boys to a legion of local poets, punks, misfits, and artists, Bushwick’s Goodbye Blue Monday may be singing its swan song.

GBM didn’t make money by offering one of the only free and open-booking policy stages in the city, or by selling $2 PBRs at happy hour. They didn’t make money—instead, they created community.
