Greenpoint Oil Spill Fund Awards First Round of Grants

A.G. Schneiderman and DEC Commissioner Martens have announced $395K in the first round of grants from Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund (GCEF), which was created from $19.5M paid By ExxonMobil in settlement with the State of New York over the Greenpoint oil spill.

The group announced funding for 18 small-grant projects yesterday.
