Please join us March 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the BIP Parks Building Community Room (North 9th St. / Kent Ave) for an orientation about GWAPP.
Our nominating committee is eager to meet anyone who is interested in joining this dynamic and active community organization. We’re looking for neighbors who are committed to the issues of parks, open space and the environment in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. There are a number of ways to get involved with GWAPP on many different commitment levels.
GWAPP won a small grant from the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund, and we’re looking for people to help us implement our proposal. We also need volunteers to help maintain our website and social media accounts, attend and report on local meetings, and write grants and fundraise.
If you’re already familiar with the local issues that North Brooklyn faces, and are motivated to make a difference (and have the time to do so), consider joining the GWAPP board. We’ll discuss what that entails, how to apply, how to volunteer and more at the meeting.
If you can’t make the meeting drop us a line at info@gwapp.org. See you on the 26th. http://gwapp.org/
