This is the last weekend to submit a proposal for the 8th season of Videorover; NURTUREart’s dedicated video program, which “…aims at becoming an ever-expanding forum for emerging artists working in video.”
This season, NURTUREart is seeking proposals that focus on video as installation. The deadline is tomorrow, April 21, 2014, at midnight.

A celebration memorial will be held at Jungle Design, next Sunday, April 27, for Hannah Shaw, the young fashion designer who tragically fell to her death after attempting to scale a building wall to enter her boyfriend’s apartment, through a window. She was a manager at the landscape and gardening business, Jungle Design. (The story was reported in The Daily News.)

J. Crew, and Apple, too: New York-based retailer J.Crew is is taking a 6,000-square-foot store on Wythe Ave. near the corner of North 4th Street; Crain’s NY floats a rumor that Apple may also—according to sources—be interested in opening a store in the area.
