Get on your bikes, hammer down, and keep the shiny side up. On June 1, Indian Larry Motorcycles is holding a benefit ride in support of the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation. Kickstands go up at 11am on Union Avenue. The route takes the BQE to the Belt Parkway, along the ocean past Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Park, and on to Patchogue, Long Island.
All proceeds from Aidan’s Ride NY will go to the Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation. The foundation seeks to raise awareness about Adrenoleukodystrophy, (ALD), a rare brain disorder in children that claimed the son of Indian Larry Motorcycles’ Elisa and Bobby Seeger. Aidan Jack Seeger died in 2012, when he was just 7 years old. Had he been diagnosed at birth, he could have been treated, and lived a full life.
The Aidan Jack Seeger Foundation was established in his honor to raise awareness of the disease, lobby for leglislation for mandatory screening for ALD at birth, and to help families of children that have ALD.You can support the cause by joining “Aidan’s Posse” on the ride.
There will be a big bash at The Emporium in Patchogue at the end of the trip. A $40 donation (goes up to $60 day of the ride) includes participation in the run and admittance to the after party for a buffet and live music by Hellbound Glory, Big House Pete, and The Shiners. Your donation includes entry into the raffle for a 2004 West Coast Choppers El Diablo motorcycle.
Can’t make the ride? You can still donate to this very good cause and be entered into the raffle. You can find the details on the Indian Larry Motorcyles website.
