Two iconic New York City institutions celebrate a medium that was born more than 100 years ago—radio. For this five day festival, WNYC takes up residence in BAM venues to reimagine some of public radio’s most treasured programs as live, contemporary theatrical engagements.

In April 2012, the WG ran a story about local manufacturer/inventor Eric Mingrino, “Machine Man: Manufacturing Superhero in Greenpoint.”
We’d like to update the story, to showcase Mingrino’s latest invention, a device that addresses the increasing and unnecessarily high incidences of accidental injuries in gyms across the United States related to the sport of weight lifting.
