There’s a market happening in Bushwick this Sunday—Bushwick Vendors Market, and it’s all about community. You’ll support local artists and designers at this artsy market, where, market organizer Yazmin Colon explains, you’ll find affordable jewelry, clothes, and hand-painted pottery on offer among the homemade or vintage goods.

On board for Sunday are Autumn Oak, Uptown Closet Freak, Palomino Jewelry and vintage clothing dealer, BaBushwick, and there should be at least 20 vendors altogether. Live music will be provided by ELM Youth group, Rebeca Sol and live art by Johnny Yurnet.

beats and bbq labor day cardThe original daytime holiday experience in dance and dine is inviting y’all to their season finale. On Monday, September 1, 2014 from 3 pm to 11 pm at LP ‘n Harmony, Beats & BBQ will provide “Soulful Dance Music, BBQ and You”.

Free plate of food with each beverage purchase. Music is provided by DJs Jose G (The G Spot), Ali Coleman (Voice of Voices NYC), Siren (Save the Robots), and Ray Vazquez (Just Us Worldwide), Eddie S the Dancing DJ (33 1/3 Dance Party), Kyle McNeil (WBAI Pacifica Radio), Tyrone Corley (Fat Traxx 24/7), and Libra Classic (Zodiac Thump). Since 2007, Beats & BBQ has been a grassroots event that takes place on the holidays of the summer season (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day).
