BRG: Brooklyn Gravity Racers 2000 at The Boiler
Brooklyn Gravity Racers, Twentieth Anniversary Event at The Boiler, dedicated to Gary Bachman. The Speed Award goes to the racer that wins the race under the rules that the Cub Scouts specify in their Official Grand Prix Pinewood Derby Kit.

NYC Joins the Largest March in Climate History, 9/21
With just nine days left until their big event, hundreds of organizers and volunteers with the People’s Climate March are hitting the streets of NYC to promote what promises to be the largest climate march in history.
In September, world leaders are coming to New York City for a UN summit on the climate crisis. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is urging governments to support an ambitious global agreement to dramatically reduce global warming pollution.

Greenpoint Gallery Night
As NYC gears up for a new season of art openings and events, many galleries in the historic neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn will open their doors to art seekers from near and far. Two local gallery directors, Lia Post of Fowler Project Space and Scott Chasse of Calico, have once again teamed up to organize “Greenpoint Gallery Night” for Friday, Sept 12th, from 7-10pm.
GGN is an ongoing effort to shed light on Greenpoint’s exceptional galleries, art organizations, and businesses that feature artwork. Participating locations have scheduled opening receptions and extended hours to coincide with the event.
