Tonight is the night of the 1st Annual Taste of Bushwick, a food party celebrating the eats, drinks, and merriments of Bushwick to benefit The Bushwick Starr.

Ticket purchase includes the after party around the corner at Radio Bushwick from 9:15 – 11:30 pm.

An array of local Bushwick restaurants, bars, and shops will offer tastings at the inaugural Taste of Bushwick, celebrating the vibrant and eclectic culinary life of Bushwick, Brooklyn. The event will take place inside The Bushwick Starr’s performance venue at 207 Starr Street and on the 1,000 square-foot roof deck, with killer views of the Manhattan skyline.

Attention nature loving yogis! In collaboration with the Open Space Alliance, goodyoga will be donating one class per week all summer long at your favorite North Brooklyn parks.

Today’s class is at McCarren Park from 9-10am. There are classes at McGolrick Park on Sundays from 3-4pm, at Transmitter Park on Sunday evenings, 7-8pm, and at 50 Kent. You’ll find the schedule here.

All of these classes are free of charge, just be sure to bring your own mat, as well as sunscreen and shades. When arriving to the park look for red balloons with the goodyoga logo.

Due to inclement weather, tonight’s The War On Drugs/Woods/Juliana Barwick show @ 50 Kent has been postponed

to this coming Sunday at 6 PM, 50 Kent Ave. (bet. No. 11th and No. 12th Sts.). All tickets from tonight’s show will be honored.

Also postponed: tonight’s Omar Souleyma show at Glasslands has been rescheduled for August 6, due to travel issues.
