Join the Human Impacts Institute for 2014’s Tree Care Tuesdays and help beautify your neighborhood, promote green space, and have fun!
Tree care sessions involve community volunteers aerating and mulching tree beds and planting bulbs in the tree bed soil, all while spending quality time with your community and mother nature.
Tree Care Tuesdays will take place every Tuesday from April 22, 2014- September 2, 2014. Sessions run from 10am-12pm with one session a month at 5pm-7pm.
Let’s hop to the backtory: the little girl’s name is Adelaide, and her daddy is Ben Ames, who is a quantum physicist. Yes, really.

This is the last weekend to submit a proposal for the 8th season of Videorover; NURTUREart’s dedicated video program, which “…aims at becoming an ever-expanding forum for emerging artists working in video.”
This season, NURTUREart is seeking proposals that focus on video as installation. The deadline is tomorrow, April 21, 2014, at midnight.

A celebration memorial will be held at Jungle Design, next Sunday, April 27, for Hannah Shaw, the young fashion designer who tragically fell to her death after attempting to scale a building wall to enter her boyfriend’s apartment, through a window. She was a manager at the landscape and gardening business, Jungle Design. (The story was reported in The Daily News.)
