  • Shaka, dudes: looks like Roberta’s will be hitting the beach, Rockaway Beach, that is. DNA Info reports that Bushwick’s wood-oven pizza pushers have signed a lease at Beach 96th Street, just blocks away from the erstwhile Rippers, their snack shack colab with Williamburg’s Meat Hook.
  • Liza de Guia’s documentary series, Food Curated, is all about the city’s small-batch food producers. The New York Times has picked it up as a weekly feature, and it starts today. Watch the video of Sonya Samuels putting together her kickass, fruit-based habanero sauce, Bacchanal Pepper Sauce.
