derby mable's smokehouseMable’s Smokehouse, Free, starts at 2pm:

Mable’s Smokehouse on Berry Street may be a three-year-old foal, but it leads the field when it comes to Southern food — one of the owners is even from Louisville. The party starts at 2 pm, and will include juleps and derby pie.

Pull on your best approximation of Derby duds, sport a chapeau like Johnny Weir, or not—but do get yourself to one of these joints to cheer on your favorite (we choose by our favorite name, natch) and fill your feedbag with mint juleps and derby pie. Post time is 6:24 pm, festivities start much earlier, ya’ll.
